BlockDialog Details Tab.

Incline

For decoders without motor regulator the type of incline can be set which will cause increasing or decreasing velocity commands. To be used in case of Delta-like decoders. The type of incline is ignored by locos with regulated motors (see Locos: SBT).
This option is for oneway blocks only.

Wait

The time a train should wait in the block can be set to the desired value for trains not running a schedule.
If the incoming train will wait depends also from the Block Type settings.
The defined wait time is not used if the block has a manual signal.

Random

Certain or all trains, depending on the combination of Block and Train Types, will wait in the block. The waiting time is set on a random basis within the time frame given from the Random Min. and Random Max. fields, respectively (see Wait details below).
With a wait time of 0 (zero) the train will stop and start.

Fixed

Certain or all trains, depending on the combination of Block and Train Types, will wait in the block. The wait time is set in the field Fixed of the Wait details (see below).
With a wait time of 0 (zero) the train will stop and start.

Loco

Certain or all trains, depending on the combination of Block and Train Types, will wait in the block. The wait time is the Block wait time specified in the Loco Properties of each loco.

No

Trains will not stop and wait in the block, if possible (requires a free next destination).

Stop

Certain or all trains, depending on the combination of Block and Train Types, will stop in the block and change in the idle mode.

Note: This option could impact Schedules Schedule or Tours Tour .
Note on FiFo blocks for cars: If the FiFo size is greater than 0 in a block, waiting is ignored, i.e. all cars pass through this block without stopping. To stop cars in blocks anyway, manually operated signals must be used. Together with actions or scripts, this can also be used to simulate all waiting situations.

Wait details

Times for Random and Fixed waiting are set here. All time fields are in seconds.

Random Min. and Random Max. together result in a time frame within which the waiting time will be in Random mode.

Example: Random Min. = 10 and Random Max. = 60: Trains will wait at least 10 and a maximum of 60 seconds in the block.

Random wait

This value is compared with a random number between 0 and 100.
If set to zero, default, this option is disabled.
If the random number is greater than this value there will be no wait in this block.

(+/-), (+) und (-)

The selection determines for which entry side(s), the waiting option applies.
(+) side the train waits only, if it arrives in the +side of the block, no waiting from the (-) side, etc.

Velocity measurement

The average velocity in KMH is calculated by setting the measurement Distance between enter and in in millimeters.
Check the MPH box if MPH is wanted. (The distance is still to be set in millimeters!)

The calculated velocities are shown in the server window.
  • Block Velocity Measurement will only be active in auto mode.
  • Measurement is not possible with only an Enter2In event.

See MVTrack for more information.

Recording

See MVTrack Recording for more information.

Speed

Block speed applies to all trains arriving and departing the block (Route speed will overwrite this setting.)

Relation between block speed and loco speed (see Locos: Interface for the latter):

Block Speed Loco Speed
Min. V_min
Mid. V_mid
Max. V_max
Cruise 80% of V_max 1)
% xx% of V_max

Arrive

This velocity will be used if a train arrives, triggering the enter event.

Departure

For departing trains the velocity can be set to fit your requirements. This velocity is maintained until the next enter event.

Reduce speed

If the option is deactivated, the Block speed on departure is only used if the current Locomotive speed will not reduced thereby.

:!: If a train stops in front of a block with BBT, please note: reduce speed . If this option is deactivated, 2 BBT speed entries are possible, depending on whether the train had to stop in the prior block or could pass through.

Stop

This velocity will be used if a train triggers an enter event, and must stop in this block. (Only when the arrival speed higher is.)
The percent choice will use the percentage of the arrive velocity. See Route speed

Max. KmH

The maximal block speed in KmH.

  • Only locos set to KmH or Percent with KmH type are affected. (See Speed options.)
  • Loco speed remains unchanged if the actual speed is less than max. KmH.

Type

This is used to define if an approaching train, which wants to enter, matches the Type for this block.
If it is set to Intercity and a Freight train is approaching, which does not find any alternative blocks, the Freight train would run through this block but if possible without waiting like a passenger train.
Further information is found Here.
The checkboxes are of type tri-state which can be used to disable wait for a type if set in the undetermined state.

The check box can assume three states:

Empty Type not selected
Type selected
Type selected, no wait

(The representations depends on the underlying operating system. Column 2 = Linux and Mac, column 3 = Win)

Note: If no type is selected, the block details settings will not be evaluated. If no special train type is desired, then the setting "Others" should be selected.
