Remark: The board is drawn as a double layer type.

But that is not necessary.

The top layer (page 1) can be used as directive for the wire bridges.

Information on power supply options

The GCA Loconet is powered in a different way as standard LocoNet.

This is one of the reasons why different connectors are used.

The standard Loconet way of powering all connected units is by means of the Railsync lines.

These Railsync lines are connected to pins 2+5 (Railsync -) and 1+6 (Railsync plus) of the RJ12 connector J7.

The railsync power is coming from Digitrax central units like Zephyr and/or DCS100/200.

Also the Intellibox on connection LocoNet B feeds these Railsync lines.

Railsync power is also available on D-connectors at pins 2 and 4.

However this Railsync power is rather limited, specially in the case of Intellibox.

For this situation, an extra power input connector is available on GCA97.

This extra power input is not needed when GCA85 is used.

Junper JP1 is used for the following situations:
