Because of bad experiences with the WA2 outdoors, this project is no longer maintained.
Generally its a good idea to protect the WA2 against rain.


Introduction

The WA2 is also known as the "Böhler WA2".
It is produced by Kaleas, and can be ordered under part number 32012.

To use this adapter, the point lever must be replaced with the one provided.
The adapter hight measures from bottom to top 20mm.

Depending on which side, and on which switch type, one pair of the screw terminals must be cut off.
The pair left should be extra drilled with 2.5mm to be prepared for threading M3.

Generally the terminal pairs can be assigned the following types:

A Left-hand switch
B Right-left switch

If the mounting side is at the straight side of the switch.

  • 1 x Spax 2 x 16
  • 2 x stainless steel or brass M3 10mm
  • 1 x M2 stainless steel 8mm set: bolt, nut and 2 x washer.

The connection between WA-2 and slip lever is done with M2 stainless steel.

Böhler WA1 (Kaleas 32011). The WA2 does not feature a relay, and has 8 pins only.
